First Citizens National Bank, Millington provided winter coats for children in need at Northaven Elementary School.  This is the 8th year First Citizens National Bank has purchased coats for the children in the Northaven community.  Over 40 winter coats were purchased and given to children ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade.

“We rely on the teachers to determine those in need and the size.  Teachers are faced with filling many roles in a child’s life and are keenly aware of the daily challenges of their children.  We are fortunate to be able to meet this single need of a child but you really have to respect the teachers and the commitment they have to these children beyond schoolwork,” said Sharon Hammett, Branch Manager.  “First Citizens National Bank has been blessed and it’s our privilege to meet the needs of our community, whether it is with a complex financial service or something as simple as a winter coat.”

“After 8 years I am still touched by the smile of gratitude from a child,” said Nelson Williams, Community Bank President.
